Katie Cooper began participating in dog shows in 1981 when she purchased her first Rottweiler. Her Rottweilers have won American and Obedience titles.
In 1988 the first Great Swiss Mountain Dog joined the Shadetree kennel. Katie has been deeply involved in all aspects of the breed since then, participating as a breeder, owner, handler and judge.
Katy had the opportunity to visit Switzerland and Sweden several times, where she was mentored by breed experts from both countries.
Katy has raised over 100 AKC champions under the Shadetree prefix. She has owned or bred Westminster Winners, Eukanuba and Top 10 Breed Winners and all breeds.
She owned the best female Great Swiss Mountain Dog - winner in a group in the history of the breed.
Katy was also active in the American Club of Swiss Mountain Dogs.
She was President from 1995 to 2000 and Recording Secretary from 2007-2008. She was president again from 2009 to 2012. In 2001 she received the Life Service Award and in 2013 the Friend of the Swiss.
In 2001, Katie became the first judge breeder approved to judge by GSMD. Since then, she has judged many regional specialties and was the first breeder judge to work in a national specialty show she held in 2005 and 2017.
In November 2008 she judged the All-Russian Monobreed Specialty Show in Moscow, and in 2009 she judged at the Eurasia Show.
She also judged the Specialty Show of Mountain Dogs in the Czech Republic. Katie is approved to judge the AKC Working Group, 9 sporting breeds and bloodhounds.

Carlos Saevich

In 1970, Carlos began to practice English Cocker Spaniels and raised several champions at a time when the quality of cockers in Argentina was very high. He also owned C.
Lochranza Strolloway, who completed Res BIS at Crufts.When moving to England in 1978, he decided to start with a Shih Tzu and imported one from Sweden. By the mid-80s, he began to judge a lot abroad.His first assignment was to judge an open terrier show in 1969, and in 1970 he judged terriers at the largest show in Buenos Aires, and by 1974 he was approved by the FCA for judging all breeds.
He has judged in most European countries, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Kenya, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Israel.
The highlights of his judging career were judging at World Dog Shows in Bern and Porto, European Winners Show in Copenhagen, Winter Show in Stockholm, Finnish Winners Show and Crufts in 2004, where he had a record result in the history of Bedlington 112 dogs. !

Zena Thorne-Andrews, the UK's most successful breeder in terms of the number of UK champions produced, now has another distinction as the only judge currently recognized by the Kennel Club to award CC for all eligible breeds.
Approved for CC in 130 breeds and for judging in all breeds according to FCI rules. Xena has bred and owned 103 British champions and is now the best breeder of all breeds for the number of champions since the records began in 1873. Her champion record of over 600 CC makes her the best breeder in the UK.

Mr. Gavin has been showing dogs for 30 years, judging at the CC level since 1999.
He is very interested in all hounds, service and gundogs. Owns and judges breeds in all 3 groups: Fauve's, TT and Std Poodles, who are currently campaigning for PBGV.
He judges breeds anywhere in the UK and spends a lot of time reading, studying and attending seminars and listening to breeders in order to understand as much as possible about the breeds he is interested in.
Currently awards CC on 19 breeds and judges a group of hounds at show level Ch, and is also on numbered B lists for breeds in all groups.

Frank Kane
ABOUT JUDGE
Frank Kane has been involved in the dog show world since he was a schoolboy, showing his first Cocker Spaniel in 1960. In 1970 he acquired his first American Cocker and produced a string of champions. He became a championship show judge in 1974 and has progressed to become one of the UK’s top judges. He is approved to judge all the gundog breeds and judged the gundog group at Crufts in 2001.
Frank is also a judge of many breeds in the other groups and he is approved to judge all groups and Best in Show. His services as a judge are much in demand worldwide and Frank is recognised by the international canine body, the FCI, as a best in show judge.
Frank is author and co-author of two earlier books on his first loves – the Cocker Spaniel and the American Cocker Spaniel, and he is a frequent contributor to the canine press.
For the past ten years he has been a commentator on the television and internet coverage of Crufts Dog Show.
Outside the canine world, Frank’s main interests lie in horses; particularly show hacks, hunters and children’s riding ponies.
